Thunder & Vibe compiles ten original works by young Chinese composers, bringing electronic music and multimedia technology together with traditional Chinese instruments in a cross-disciplinary fusion. Elements of traditional culture, including Chinese opera, the imagery of landscape art, and the sonorities of folk music are incorporated into contemporary composition. Integrating AI interaction, multimedia visuals, and live lighting design, the concert expands the expressive boundaries of traditional Chinese music through an interplay of sound, light, and image. It creates innovative dialogue between traditional aesthetics and modern technology and gives rise to new voices in original Chinese music that speak to the present. Its cross-disciplinary approach enables contemporary expressions of traditional culture while giving young artists a platform for dialogue and exchange with the world.
