Outstanding Youth Performance Showcase from China and Abroad

With the support and guidance from the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, the Outstanding Youth Performance Showcase from China and Abroad will select and present outstanding youth productions from Shanghai and international stages. The program includes Chinese opera, symphonic music, traditional Chinese instrumental music, dance, choral singing, and other art forms, with the aim of advancing aesthetic education for young people in Shanghai and across the country, incubating original content, providing a stage for international exchange, and helping to cultivate artistic talent with global vision and creative ability. To mark the 90th anniversary of the victory of the Red Army’s Long March, the Shanghai Student Chorus and its alliance and the Shanghai Student Symphony Orchestra and its alliance will work together with the Shanghai Opera House to present a student edition of the symphonic choral work The Long March Suite, using this classic revolutionary repertoire to connect professional artistic resources with aesthetic education on campus, bringing cultural institutions and school classrooms into a mutually reinforcing partnership.
