The 22nd Shanghai International Jazz Festival

The 22nd Shanghai International Jazz Festival - JZ Festival, presented together with the 2nd International Jazz Showcase, concentrates its diverse jazz sections within the core period of the festival, extending to the city’s major theaters and to the wider Yangtze River Delta cultural region. Under the theme “Boundless Rhythm, Shared Improvisation,” the showcase unfolds along five dimensions: from French passion to Iberian tenderness, from Dutch classics to new German voices, and on to the retro revelry of New Orleans, binding together to form a feast for the senses. As a regular fixture of the CSIAF Professional Sessions, the showcase upholds international operating standards and innovative artistic practice to foster in-depth exchange and cooperation across the global jazz scene, as well as meeting the city residents’ ever-growing demand for high-quality cultural consumption.
