EXIT ABOVE - AFTER THE TEMPEST traces the origins of dance and music through one of the most fundamental human movements – walking. It is an important recent work by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker and Rosas. Bringing together thirteen performers, the piece weaves blues, pop music and physical movement into a journey through time, space and freedom through ever-expanding steps, rhythms and melodies.Continuing De Keersmaeker’s sustained exploration of the relationship between dance and music, the work creates a poetic world in which bodies, sound and dreams grow together through a minimalist yet richly rhythmic stage language.
