One of Berliner Philharmoniker’s most active chamber ensembles, the Berliner Barock Solisten specializes in Baroque and Classical repertoire. To commemorate the 270th anniversary of Mozart’s birth, the group appears with the orchestra’s first concertmaster Noah Bendix-Balgley and principal violist Diyang Mei in four Mozart masterpieces. Mei’s viola arrangement of the Clarinet Concerto in A major highlights the instrument’s warm, resonant sound, while the dialogue between violin and viola in the Sinfonia Concertante reveals the elegance and depth of Mozart’s musical language, making for an evening of pure and timeless Mozart.
