Grammy-winning conductor Paavo Järvi will lead the Estonian Festival Orchestra with French pianist Alexandre Kantorow at the China Shanghai International Arts Festival. The programme features Passion. Illusion. by Erkki-Sven Tüür, together with Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 and Sibelius’s Symphony No. 5. Järvi’s insight into Nordic music and Kantorow’s technical and poetic style complement one another in an evening where Nordic character meets Romantic passion.
