The 8th "Golden Magnolia" Shanghai International Puppet Festival adopted the format of "dual-competition, single-exhibition," gathering 15 representative puppetry works from 11 countries including Australia, Germany, Italy, and others. Around 100 events—including puppet performances, competitions, and puppetry carnivals—were held across various districts of Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta region, creating an annual international puppet art gala. This year's festival centred around the exhibition and evaluation of outstanding international puppetry works, promoting global exchange and innovation in puppet art. For the first time, a joint exhibition for young puppet artists was introduced, exploring the integration of technology and puppet art.
