“Diverse Art” for Parallel and Professional Sessions

CSIAF actively serves national strategies, continuously enhancing its platform function of "serving the Yangtze River Delta and radiating across China." It strives to create a model for regional cultural exchange and promote mutual learning between Chinese and foreign civilizations.


Since establishing the Guest Country Cultural Week in 2002,the Festival has successfully hosted 15 editions featuring Australia, Russia, France, and other nations. In  2005,the Domestic Cultural Week was launched, successfully showcasing 16 editions highlighting Yunnan, Inner Mongolia, Qinghai, Hubei, the Greater Bay Area, and other provinces and regions.



At the same time,since formally establishing its Wuxi,Jiangsu parallel session in 2012,the festival has expanded its cultural reach beyond Shanghai.Parallel sessions have been successively established in Ningbo, Zhejiang; Hefei, Anhui; Inner Mongolia;Weifang,Shandong;and Nanxun,Zhejiang, successfully launching distinctive programs like the Nanxun International Children Cultural and Arts Season.In 2025,the festival pioneered a collaboration between the cultural tourism and railway systems of Shanghai, Wuxi ,Hefei,and Nanxun, launching the “Parallel Session Express.”This initiative not only serves the integrated development of the Yangtze River  Delta but also injects new vitality into the deep integration and unified development of regional cultural tourism,commerce, sports, and exhibitions nationwide through cultural empowerment of regional growth.



Additionally, professional sessions such as the Shanghai International Magic Festival, Shanghai International Puppet Festival, Shanghai International Children's Theatre Festival, and JZ Festival have become distinctive highlights that enhance the Festival's public cultural engagement.
