The “Voices in Modern Dance - Global Masters’ Showcase”, brings together three legendary choreographers for an unprecedented collaboration with China’s rising dance talents, reimagining Western masterpieces through an Eastern lens: Ohad Naharin (creator of Gaga technique, presenting"-16"), Alexander Ekman (internationally acclaimed for "Cactus"), Yoann Bourgeois & Marie Bourgeois (avant-garde duo, "The Dream is Gone, But I Remember").
Naharin’s kinetic revolution, Ekman’s theatrical whimsy, and Bourgeois’ dreamlike philosophy converge in this performance, sparking an artistic collision between Eastern physicality and Western avant-garde. Together, they unfold a profound exploration of somatic perception. This night also serves as a prism through which Chinese dancers reflect and refract the world.
