


TIAN Qinxin is President of the National Theatre of China and a National First-Class Director. Her works as both playwright and director include the plays The Field of Life and Death, The Red Mansion, and the opera The Long March, among others. She has won numerous national awards including the Wenhua Grand Prize, the Cao Yu Drama Literature Award, the Golden Lion Award for Theatre, the Magnolia Award, and the Five-One Project Award. She has also been honored as a National Model Artist of Virtue and Talent, a National March 8 Red Banner Pacesetter, and an inductee into the Centennial Hall of Fame of Chinese Theatre. In recent years, she has directed the major gala Strive, Sons and Daughters of China for the 70th anniversary of the People's Republic, the grand epic spectacle The Great Journey for the 100th anniversary of the Communist Party of China, and has served as Chief Director of the National Committee of the CPPCC New Year Tea Party for six consecutive years.
