China Coal Mine Art Troupe (CCMAT), founded in 1947in the liberated area of Northeast China, is one of theoldest national art troupes. It consists of Song andDance Troupe, Drama Troupe, Rap Troupe, FolkOrchestra, Creative Studio, Choreography Center,Performance Center and Art Training Center, making it acomprehensive art troupe with a wide range of artforms such as song and dance, drama, opera,instrumental music and recitation. The troupe ischaracterized by a wide range of artistic genres, richforms of performances, diversified professionals, activecreative momentum and exemplary conduct.Throughout the process of establishment, developmentand expansion of the CCMAT, generations of its artistshave always advocated advanced culture, held high thebanner of the Light Cavalry of Literature and Art, carriedforward the glorious tradition of "fearing no hardshipand serving the masses," and adhered to the principleof "going down to the grassroots and satisfyingpeople's needs". Because of such efforts, the CCMAThas formed a development pathway to serve the peopleand socialism wholeheartedly, with its members touringextensively across the country.
