International Dialogues

Great arts festivals are grand celebrations of urban culture and stages for dialogue and exchange between global cultures. Over the past 25 years, the China Shanghai International Arts Festival (CSIAF) has always been in sync with the world stage and bridged resources across regions, contributing its due part to exchanges and mutual learning between civilizations in the new era. Marking the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the 23rd China Shanghai International Arts Festival upheld the main theme of the arts while embracing the trend of globalization, showcasing the city's cultural landscape characterized by unity in diversity and the blend of the national and the international with an inclusive, open, and win-win approach.

The Festival featured nine professional international dialogue events, including the 4th Annual Conference of the Network of Silk Road Art Festivals, the talk of Digital Tourism Innovation Projects with Arts, the International Performing Arts Industry Dialogue, the Theatre for Young Audiences Platform, Creators and Producers’ Forum, Asia-Pacific Performing Arts Industry Dialogue, Directors’ Forum, etc. These events facilitated discussions on new developments in arts from a global perspective and envisioned a future where diverse cultures of nations blend.
