Ugo Rondinone is a renowned Swiss artist who works extensively with different media and art forms, exploring in his work the relationship between the internal and the external, the public and the private, the truth and the false, reflecting on the process of culture being made as well as disrespected. His work exhibits a strange but unique aesthetic. His most famous works are the colorful 'rock' sculptures, where the rock pillars are natural landscapes that have been given color by humans, which is a good expression of Rondinone's exploration of the dichotomy between the real and the artificial.
