Xavier de Maistre is one of today's leading harpists and a profoundly creative musician. 1998, he became the first French musician admitted to the Wiener Philharmoniker. As an ardent advocate for the harp, he has broadened the harp repertoire, commissioning new work from composers. His broad musical horizons have led him to collaborate with conductors like Sir André Previn, Sir Simon Rattle, and Riccardo Muti, as well as being invited to perform with orchestras such as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, and the NHK Symphony Orchestra. De Maistre has been an exclusive Sony Music artist since 2008.
