From 23 to 24 June 2024, Three Rules of Admonition: The Tiger Man, a commissioned work of the 22nd China Shanghai International Arts Festival (CSIAF), was presented at the Sibiu International Theatre Festival in Romania. Inspired by the late Tang Dynasty tale The Tale of the Tiger Man, the work continued the exploration of selfhood in traditional Chinese culture initiated in the first chapter of the Three Rules of Admonition trilogy, Nie Yinniang. Reinterpreting the classic text through a contemporary perspective, it employed expressive physical movement to portray the inner world of modern people, presenting the original artistic vision of a new generation of Chinese choreographers through a distinctive Eastern dance aesthetic.

Three Rules of Admonition: The Tiger Man received its world premiere at the 22nd China Shanghai International Arts Festival in 2023 and was subsequently featured as a pitch performance at the China Shanghai International Arts Festival Performing Arts Fair (ChinaSPAF), where it attracted wide attention from international presenters and industry professionals. Supported by the Festival's international exchange platform, the work was presented at the Sibiu International Theatre Festival in 2024, further bringing original Chinese stage productions to the international stage and promoting the global presentation of traditional Chinese culture through a contemporary artistic language.
