The Arts Education Joint Conference of the Network of Silk Road Arts Festivals was a part of the China Shanghai International Arts Festival Performing Arts Fair. Successfully convened four times since 2017, the CSIAF attracted participation from domestic and international professional arts institutions, festivals and organisations. The conferences facilitated cooperation regarding the mutual learning and collaborative innovation in cultural and arts projects, talent development and educational concepts, providing a platform for the cultivation and incubation of young artists along the Belt and Road.
The CSIAF aimed to build a global platform for arts education collaboration and youth incubation. Through the Arts Education Joint Conference of the Network of Silk Road Arts Festivals, representatives of arts institutions, organisations and festivals from the Belt and Road were invited to discuss the future direction of arts education together. The emphasis was on the trend of deep integration of arts and technology, showcasing theoretical discussions and practical achievements in arts education by arts practitioners from various countries. The conference sought to propose forward-looking and practical guidance for development, explore new modes and paths for arts education, and provide new directions for the future development of college aesthetic education. It also explored possibilities for international cooperation to promote global collaboration and resource sharing in arts education.
