In 2023, the China Shanghai International Arts Festival joined forces with the Nanxun District People's Government of Huzhou Municipality to jointly launch the inaugural Nanxun International Children Arts Festival. This collaboration aimed to promote the integration of culture, commerce, and tourism in the ancient town, and to create a leading model of city linkage in the Yangtze River Delta. The event spanned three weekends and consisted of four segments: the opening ceremony, official promotion, expert seminars, and performance parades. It featured a selection of nine high-quality family theatre productions from domestic and international sources, totaling 17 performances, along with nearly 200 customized parade events tailored to Nanxun's unique characteristics, creating a multidimensional, all-encompassing "Yangtze River Delta Family Paradise."
