The 1st Shanghai International Children’s Theatre Festival was held under the theme of "Play in Play, Hand in Hand." Over a period of 22 days, the festival brought together 16 children's theatre productions from 8 countries and regions, including China, Russia, the United Kingdom, Italy, and others. A large-scale immersive outdoor family drama carnival was also staged, creating an audience experience that integrated "play" and "fun." The event was structured around three main sections: "Performance and Showcase," "Professional Exchanges," and "Creative Incubation." Using children's theatre culture as a bond, the festival deepened reunions and dialogues with international theatre artists in the context of the new era, thereby promoting the high-quality development of children's theatre arts.
