Nikolai Lugansky was born in Moscow in 1972 and graduated from the Central Music School of the Moscow Conservatory. He was honored with the title of “Merited Artist of the Russian Federation” in 2013 and received a prestigious national award in 2019 in recognition of his contributions to Russian and global musical culture. Lugansky’s recordings have received numerous international honors, including the Terence Judd Award, the French Golden Tuning Fork Award of the Year (three-time winner), the German Classical Echo Award (three-time winner),the French Monde de la Musique Award, the German Record Critics’ Award, and the BBC Music Magazine Recording of the Year. For this concert, he has selected masterpieces by Beethoven, Schumann, Debussy, Wagner, and others, spanning the Classical era, Romanticism, and the dawn of the 20th century.
