Multi-sensory Performance Traces of The Wind
Commissioned by the stage performing arts section of the Rising Artists’ Works (R.A.W.!) program, Traces of the Wind is a newly created work by the interdisciplinary art collective Unset Art Group. It is an ever-evolving 'breath of memory' centered on the theme of wind. Drawing from cross-cultural interviews that capture personal memories of wind, the performance unfolds as a live, improvised theatrical experience. Using sound, the body, and everyday objects as mediums, it evokes a synesthetic resonance in an open, participatory space. Performers become nomads of memory, constructing, deconstructing, and reassembling the imagery of wind using items like cassette players and electric fans. In this flowing atmosphere, audience members are invited to leave their own sensory imprints—becoming part of the wind’s trace.
