Electronic Music Theatre The Sonic Odyssey: Mariners' Resonance

Commissioned by the stage performing arts section of the Rising Artists’ Works (R.A.W.!) program, The Sonic Odyssey: Mariners' Resonance is a cross-media music theatre production that blends electronic music, poetic language, and algorithmic visuals. Framed around the question 'What does it mean to depart?', the piece traces the historical routes of the Maritime Silk Road, unfolding as an immersive sonic voyage. Like sailors clutching ancient texts, the audience follows the sound, navigating a space where audio and visuals interwine -- experiencing departure on multiple levels: as a physical journey and as an inner stirring. Hesitation, solitude, wonder—the voyage evokes a spectrum of emotions. It is both listening to the world and a quest for the self. It is a continuously evolving art scene, a journey of convergence with sound, history, and the future.
