Drama The Ordinary World by Shaanxi People's Art Theatre

The play The Ordinary World is adapted from LU Yao’s novel of the same name, which won the Mao Dun Literature Prize. It focuses on the social changes in China from the mid-1970s to the mid-1980s. Set against the backdrop of rural northern Shaanxi, the story follows the life trajectories of two brothers, SUN Shaoan and SUN Shaoping, portraying the struggles and choices of Chinese youth amid the sweeping tides of history.
