Henri Matisse, the renowned French painter and founder of the Fauvist movement. In collaboration with Musée Matisse Le Cateau-Cambrésis, UCCA has curated a selection of nearly 300 works from their collection for this exhibition, encompassing various mediums such as oil painting, sculpture, drawing, ink on paper, printmaking, cutouts, book illustrations, and textiles. The exhibition titled "Matisse by Matisse" emphasizes Matisse's role as the "curator" of the exhibition himself.
