Traditional Chinese Folk Music Song II is a continuation from the 2021 Traditional Chinese Folk Music Song series. The concert combines traditional and contemporary elements, through the heated collision between percussion music and folk string and woodwind music in Kaiyu, it showcases the power and energy of Chinese music. Led by folk culture advocate ZHANG Cuihong, who join forces with maestros such as WENG Zhenfa, PENG Lingang, CHEN Pingyi, WANG Ning, the concert will present Jinghu solo Blizzard at the Temple of the Mountain God, Sheng ensemble Battle Songs of the King of Qin, and modern Peking Opera segments. The Shanghai Bell and Kite Choir will present Make the World Full of Love, infusing the concert with the beauty of cross-cultural harmony.
