Blossoms Shanghai—Hong Kong String Orchestra Concert

Founded by violinist YAO Jue, the Hong Kong String Orchestra gathers the best string performers from Hong Kong and has earned the reputation of “Hong Kong's musical sound blending East and West”. This concert features iconic Hong Kong-style Canton pop from the TV series Blossoms Shanghai, rearranged as a string version of Blossoms Shanghai Medley, recreating the glory days of Hong Kong’s golden era. Innovative pieces that blend Eastern and Western elements such as Song of Spring, A Horseherd’s Mountain Song, and Qing Ping Diao interweave throughout the performance, contributing to an overall fusion style, displaying the magical collision between classical music and pop culture.
