Sculpture and Poetry by China Coal Mine Art Troupe
Sculpture and Poetry is a collaborative theatrical production by the China Coal Mine Art Troupe and the National Museum of China, designed as a "museum coming to life" performance. The story begins with the awakening of a Tang Dynasty figurine of a reclining painted girl. Following her, the terracotta warriors, painted male figurines, drumming and singing figurines, music-listening figurines, food-offering female figurines, green-glazed jesting figurines, and a three-colored camel carrying performers also come to life from history. Through language and dance, these ancient figures share their experiences and thoughts, striving to recreate the cultural flow that spanned one thousand years from the Qin to Tang Dynasties. The play combines elements of drama and dance, enhanced with technology and visual effects, bringing these immortal souls back to life from the depths of time.
