Long Yu, Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis

Conductor Long YU and trumpet virtuoso Wynton Marsalis will join forces with the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra and the Lincoln Center Orchestra for a groundbreaking collaboration, presenting Marsalis’s original work Jungle. As one of Asia’s most historic symphony orchestras, the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, under the leadership of Long Yu, continues to expand the influence of classical music. This concert brings together two major musical ensembles from East and West, offering a powerful and compelling performance that highlights the cross-genre appeal of music. Nine-time Grammy Award winner Marsalis will perform his symphony Jungle, which portrays modern urban life through a fusion of jazz, ragtime, and Latin elements, showcasing the diversity and challenges of city living.
