Nanyin Wenji Gui Han by Xiamen Nanyin Troupe

Nanyin Wenji Gui Han is a collaborative work by playwright Wang Renjie, director Han Jianying, composer Wu Qiren, orchestrator Jiang Songming, and other renowned artists. Yang Xueli, a Chinese Quyi Peony Award for Performance recipient, plays the leading role. The opera draws inspiration from Chinese historical stories and literary classics like "Eighteen Songs of a Nomad Flute" and narrates the life journey of Cai Wenji, a female poet of the late Eastern Han Dynasty. The story revolves around her enduring commitment to Chinese culture, her profound patriotism, and her embodiment of traditional Chinese culture's deep-rooted values and spiritual strength.
