Shanghai Int'l Arts Festival: Live music performances return to Shanghai

2023-10-14

The 22nd Shanghai International Arts Festival kicked off with an open-air concert presented by renowned German conductor Christoph Eschenbach and the China Shanghai International Arts Festival Orchestra. More than 3,000 people from home and abroad attended the event on Saturday night. The festival runs until November the 15th, featuring more than 400 performances.

TANG JUE Audience "It's really exciting. In the past three years, due to various reasons, there were many fewer opportunities to listen to live performances. Today, I am very much looking forward to this opportunity, especially in such a climate like 'Mid Summer Night', under the classical buildings, with famous performers and an excellent orchestra."

LI YULIANG Audience "I haven't seen such a large-scale music performance in a few years, and I hope to enrich my extracurricular life through this Shanghai International Arts Festival, and to cultivate my soul."
