Magic Cube----International Comic Mime Gala

Magic Cube----International Comic Mime Gala Boasting the dream-like fantastic stage setting, Stretch Mk1 stretches their mime performance out to the multi-aspects of art as its name does. Voted "the Best Australian Street Theatre Company" for consecutive three years, it was amongst the Artistic Delegation for the Sydney 2000 Olympic bid in Monaco and has represented Australia on many grand occasions. Their performance "A Shadow Fell Over the Light of My Dreams" which will be presented during the Festival, involves the use of "Sky Sculpture" as setting, together with dance and mask, and the pure shape and movement of the fabric itself, to explore the theme of Birth Life, Growth, Death and Change in an surrealistic way.

Yen Town Fools, Japanese mime duo, is among the most coveted comedians in Japan with their revolutionary mime defying the boundary of age or country. Their incredible versatility contributes to the breathtakingly funny performance integrating magic, gag, acrobatic, classical mime and live music instrument showcases. Frequenting international mime and clown festivals, the highly acclaimed duo will undoubtedly conquer Chinese audience with their never-ending originality and energy.

A striking contrast to Japanese duo's hilarious mode of expression, the solo of Trajce Gjorgiev from Macedonia is a commanding presence with his delicate and subtle body language. Typical of Marcel Maceau's tradition, Gjorgiev's magic-like performance, defying the limit of time, space and characters, is so convincing, interesting and thought-provoking.
