Ireland's National Choir, ANUNA, takes its name from the collective term for three ancient forms of Irish music: Suantraí (lullabies), Geantraí (joyous songs), and Goltraí (lamentations). The choir is dedicated to exploring and promoting world music's most sacred and ancient art while attempting to infuse new vitality by merging with various contemporary genres like jazz. They aim to breathe new life into traditional music. The Shanghai Simply Neoclassical Orchestra was founded by violist Jia Yu Liu and consists of members from prestigious institutions such as the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and the Royal Academy of Music in London. The ensemble gathers top-notch musicians, many of whom are principal players from leading orchestras like the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra. They blend their traditional music expertise with a forward-looking approach, daring to cross boundaries and create a new generation of young, fashionable interpretations of classical music.
