The China Shanghai International Arts Festival Orchestra is a brand-new ensemble formed in collaboration with the Shanghai International Arts Festival Center under the joint music direction of renowned conductor Christoph Eschenbach and Xu Zhong. It is composed principal players from top domestic symphony orchestras, including the National Centre for the Performing Arts Orchestra, the Shanghai Opera Symphony Orchestra, Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra,  Suzhou Symphony Orchestra, and Ningbo Symphony Orchestra, Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, Fuzhou Strait Symphony Orchestra, among others. Together, they join forces to deliver a splendid musical performance for the autumn season. Additionally, Maxim Vengerov, one of the most acclaimed violin soloists in the global classical music community, and Angela Gheorghiu, one of the most captivating and talented sopranos in the opera world today, will each present their repertoire during this outdoor concert, offering the audience a splendid artistic feast.
