In order to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, and to promote the traditional Chinese culture, the Shanghai Overseas Chinese Friendship Association, the Liu Haisu Art Museum, and the China Shanghai International Arts Festival, will hold “The 9th Annual Shanghainese Artists Exhibition” in the name of “Mentors as well as Friends”. From some unique artistic perspectives of both older and younger generations of outstanding artists, combining Chinese and Western styles, the exhibition will depict dramatic changes and great achievements of the People’s Republic of China in the past seventy years. The exhibition consists mostly of renowned returning overseas Chinese artists. It will also include some outstanding migrant Chinese artists, and a few emerging young artists with overseas study or working experiences.
