This show is the first exploration of Shanghai acrobatics on red literary works. On the basis of being loyal to historical facts, it logically reproduces the heroic deeds of the Chinese Communist Party leading the People's Liberation Army, liberating Shanghai with the help of the Shanghai Underground Party Organization and the Shanghai people. The play adopts the narrative technique of "seeing big things with the small", combining revolutionary realism with romanticism, and reflecting the greatness in trivialness, alternating with the two main lines of the front battlefield and underground struggle, representing vividly the process of the battle of liberation of Shanghai.
