Huagu Opera Waiting for My Darling in December was created by Jinmen Artistic Theatre, which won the prize of the 12th Wenhua Award. The Opera is also the gold medal winner in the National Competition of Local Operas. The opera tells in time sequence how a deserted woman builds her new life regardless of poverty and loneliness. The playwright Shen Heyu, director Zhang Manjun, and composer Wang Wenxun have won many national honors.
