11th China Shanghai International Arts Festival ends successfully A gorgeous, spectacular art gala ends las t night at Shanghai Oriental Arts Center. The large-scale original Opera"King of Chu"was premiered after the closing ceremony of 11th China Shanghai International Arts Festival. Mr.Tu Guangshao, the deputy Director General of Organizing committee of CSIAF,Standing Member of CPC Shanghai Committee, Vice Mayor of Shanghai chaired the ceremony. Mr. Zhao Shaohua,Deputy Minister of Culture declared the closing of 2009 CSIAF. 2009CSIAF presented 115 stages of programs from home and abroad, plus Korean Culture Week, Chongqing Culture Week,Oriental Comedy Show, putting together to 218 performances with more than 200,000 audience.Nearly 10,000 performers, 100+performing groups, 200+performing agencies from more than 40 countries and 26provinces and cities of China took part in the festival. The cultural activities of mass was just successful presenting 790 activities, 2672 performances, with 2.2million people involved. Furthermore, 236 performing agencies took part in the Performing Arts Fair with 500+intent of cooperation signed.
