BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF : Sun|10/21|22:00|60mins Breeze Garden, InterContinental Shanghai Jing’An Hu Chenyun is the national level first class Suona (double-reeded horn) player of Shanghai Chinese Orchestra. Dashing on the Silk Road is a concert fusing Suona performance with the Rock and Roll. Using Guqin, Sheng, Erhu, and other Chinese musical instruments in combination with a modern electronic rock band, Hu brings the audiences back to the ancient Silk Road - from ancient Persia, the birth place of the Suona, to today’s Shanghai, showcasing the new development of the contemporary Chinese folk music into a more inclusive and relevant musical genre.
