Deep in the Memory pays homage to sufferings and pains of the Chinese nation from the perspective of Chinese-American writer Zhang Chunru who explored the history of Nanjing Massacre. Tong Ruirui serves as the general director and scriptwriter and the Dance Troupe of Jiangsu Performing Arts Group Co., Ltd performs the drama. Tang Shiyi, a famous young dancer from China National Opera & Dance Drama Theatre, plays the part of Zhang Chunru. Deep in the Memory follows the real historical figures including Zhang Chunru, Rabe, Vautrin, Li Xiuying, Shiro Azuma and uses Zhang Chunru as a clue to draw the memories of people who experienced the holocaust.
