Inspired by the works of Leonard Cohen, a Canadian poet, artist and lyricist, the dance emerged as a new creation. The art director of the dance company adopted courageous and intense dramatic techniques of creation to present different chapters of dance and Cohen's extraordinary works.

Les Ballets Jazz de Montréal was founded in 1972. In combination with the features of techniques, aesthetics and rigorous of classical ballet, the dance company has created and presented plentiful modern ballet dances and frequently appeared on renowned stages.
