[YOUTH• REALM]Exhibition for Young Artists of Shanghai Literature and Art Talents Training Program

2017 is the last year of the 3-year literature and art talents training program. Over 100 works by 5 young artists including Chinese ink painters Mao Donghua and Pang Fei, oil painters Zhang Chenchu and Du Hajun, and the print painter Liao Yang will be exhibited in the Shanghai Literature and Art Association Center. In the meantime, a forum will be held to review and summarize these five artists’ achievements through 3-year training program to evaluate the achievement and commitment of young artist, magnify the cluster effect of Shanghai literature and art artists and strengthen the foundation of the development Shanghai young artists. In recent years, artistic creation in Shanghai has developed diversely and prosperously. These five young artists have the courage to explore and develop their own creations in a more open and inclusive social, cultural and ideological context. Through their ingenious creation, they expresstheir reflections asyoung artists on history and their understanding of the real life city while at the same time pass on the inheritance of the old generations of artists.

On the 22th October,2015, Youth Realm exhibitions for young artists of Shanghai literature and art talents training program inaugurated in the East Bund Art Space of Shanghai Artists Association. The theme of this exhibition was city, displaying 150 works of 5 young artists in fine art sector. Besides, based on YOUTH REALM Exhibition, Shanghai art elites were gathered together, and a forum was held with the theme of ‘Shanghai youth arts in the past, the present and the sustainable development’ to explore the past, present and future of Shanghai youth arts in the progress of city culture.
