2016-09-06

Recently, China Shanghai International Arts Festival and Kelti (China) Daily Product Co., Ltd signed the agreement of strategic cooperation and jointly declared the launch of the public welfare activity of “Wheat Project”, aiming to cultivate more seeds of arts and promote arts prosperity across China.

The “Wheat Project” plans to provide opportunities for children, especially children living in remote regions but bearing aspirations for arts, to access edification of arts and further become the seeds for arts prosperity in future.

The “Wheat Project” will be advanced simultaneously in two ways. One is to invite artists in Shanghai to visit remote regions including Jinzhai in Anhui Province and Zunyi in Guizhou Province, and select 20 local children who have dreams and potentials of arts to become seeds of arts. The other is to invite talented artists to provide instructions for these seeds of arts. After training and exercises, these children selected as seeds of arts will put on their performance during the arts festival.

At the same time, the “Wheat Project” will also offer assistance to local schools to establish children choirs. The selected children, like the seeds of arts, will be “planted” back into the local choirs for rooting, sprouting, blossoming and fruiting.

Originating from Shanghai, the “Wheat Project” targets at the whole country to help children realize their dreams and facilitate the flourishing of arts.
