Drama " The Lost Opera" by Shanghai Dramatic Arts Center and Russian Artists

Captivated by Chinese traditional opera, acclaimed Russian young director Nikolay Druchek restages Zhao Yaomins hit script "The Lost Opera". The play witnesses the vicissitude of a Kunqu Opera family in maintaining the glory of the traditional theatrical art in today's hustle and bustle. The realistic traditional drama is changed to an experimental stage experience by combining opera and drama, the modern and traditional, and Chinese and Russian styles.

The reproduction, with Kunju master Liu Yilong as the opera consultant, starring Guan Dongtian, a renowned Peking opera artist and Wen Yang, an actress with a traditional Chinese opera background, will be performed at the Chekhov International Theatre Festival to be held in Russia in June.
