Flutist Sir JAMES GALWAY is internationally regarded as both a matchless interpreter of the classical repertoire and a consummate entertainer whose charismatic appeal crosses all musical boundaries. Since the beginning of his solo career in 1975, when he left his position as principal flutist of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, and a bit earlier, of Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the London Symphony Orchestra, Mr. Galway has circled the globe many times. In June 2001, Sir James Galway was honored with a Knighthood for services to music. Just as reviewed by Musicians: James Galway is undoubtedly a legend of flute.

Munich Chamber Orchestra is reputed as Germanys best chamber orchestra. It has received numerous awards, for example the famous Musikpreis from the City of Munich, and the European Cultural Award. It is widely renowned and held in high esteem for its creative approach to programming, its innovative musical concepts, and the uncompromisingly high artistic demands it sets. The orchestra has collaborated with world renowned soloists such as Gidon Kremer, Heinrich Schiff, and Mstislav Rostropovich, while a long list of exciting young instrumentalists in the making regularly strive for invitations from the Orchestra.
