In 1960, two iconic figures in the Italian ballet scene, Franca Bartolomei and Walter Zappolini, co-founded the Balletto di Roma. The company has been dedicated to advancing the dance market in Italy and holds a decisive leadership position in the Italian dance scene. Starting September 2023, they will bring their most successful and innovative production, Juliet and Romeo, a reinterpretation of Shakespeare's original work, to Chinese audiences. Choreographed by Monteverde, this production earned him the "Best Choreography Award" in Italy. Simultaneously, the media hailed this work as "a landmark work in the dance world of Italy".
