Taking the early 1980s of Shanghai as background,the stage play An Engineer Does Part-time Job on Sunday tells the story of an engineer, Han Kun, who used his spare time to  earn some extra money. However he was misunderstood as“taking bribes” and the truth of the injustice eventually came to light. Through his special experience, the play reflects the historical development, as well as  the profound change of people's minds and the achievements of the  reform and opening-up policy.
