La Traviata by Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord

Unlike the traditional opera which is known for its intense sense, the scenery props in The Lady of the Camellias by Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord are light and elegant. The audience will walk into the inner world of the heroine, Violeta, and watch closely that how she lost herself in the parties where guests toast to each other, and eventually ended in tragedy, like a flying moth darts into the fire. The whole work has organically combined drama and opera, voice and singing.  The 13 actors have infused proper theatrical expressiveness in singing, dialogue and instrumental performance, making the two-hour performance smooth and esthetical.
