Founded in 1946, Juilliard String Quartet is universally acknowledged as a typical American String Quartet. Always upholding the traditional and audacious artistic style, Julia String Quartet not only performs traditional classics, but also gives consideration to its mission of promoting new repertoires. The four artists present the charm of String Quartet to the audience by means of their deep understanding of the works, emotional performing and ceaseless exploration. In 2011, Juilliard String Quartet became the first classical music ensemble to receive a lifetime achievement award from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.
