A series of Art Space activities of this year’s CSIAF is planned to be held from Otc.20 to Nov.19, there will be totally 46 performances in 94 sessions covering 16 districts all over the city. 

As one of the core sections of CSIAF as well as the extension of its tenet of ＂A Festival of Arts, A Gala for All＂, Art Space will continue to depict the concept of＂A Gathering of Excellent Performances, Much Benefit for All＂and deliver all of the most fabulous artist works from all over the world to the grass-roots units in a centralized way, so as to provide the audience easy accesses to appreciate the charm of elegant arts in their neighborhoods.

Artistic Customization for People

This year’s Art Space Series will be featured by Concert Colorful China by Shanghai Chinese Orchestra, Dancing Performances by Janáček Opera of the National Theatre Brno as well as 12-Hour Special Event themed on Ode, etc.

Art Space Series leave innovation-driven footprints every year. This year, the program joins hands with Yangpu District in planning the Shanghai Gongqing Forest Concert. Combining the outdoor scenery with quality symphony performance, the world-class forest concert is to encourage the classical music lovers to walk out the concert hall and into the nature, and enjoy the high art at the same time. In terms of both content and form, the event will be a highlight of the Art Space Series.

According to its own cultural positioning, each district will introduce different performances of Art Space to the citizens. For example, as Huangpu District has recently put forward to cultivate a cultural character as embracing both classic and modern, we offer to the district the performances with a focus on music, including Symphony Concert ＂Harry Potter＂by Italian Cinema Orchestra and Concert by Estonian Voices.

As for Chongming District, which is located relatively far from downtown Shanghai, top-ranking performance troupes such as Shanghai Ballet and Choir Libera will also come to the place with noted works.

Moreover, for the convenience of ticket booking and pick-up, the Art Space Series will open up multiple channels for inquiry and booking this year. From Sep.27, audience can book tickets through the official ticket platform of CSIAF, and later by scanning the QR codes on brochures and posters, or visiting Damai.cn and wenhuayun.cn.
