The 19th China Shanghai International Arts Festival Campus Tour —— The Arts Program of Transmitting Traditional Culture to Tibet Was Held

Education Commission and China Shanghai International Arts Festival have planned and sent the pottery class (designed for primary and secondary schools) and the Standards for Being a Good Student and Child class (applicable to young children) to Tibet and launched course communication activities in Shigatse Shanghai Experimental School, with the involvement of teachers and students in Fine Arts College of Shanghai University, Youth Center of Putuo District and Shanghai Municipal Kindergarten. 

The pottery Class by Youth Center of Putuo District Shanghai and the Standards for Being a Good Student and Child class by Shanghai Municipal Kindergarten attracted the attention of local teachers and students in a unique way. Shanghai Municipal Kindergarten designed the "Hearts and Drawings of Children, Disciplines and Standards for Students" course to young students and developed an APP named Standards for Being a Good Student and Child. The kindergarten sought to creatively arouse students' study interest and encourage them to further comprehend Chinese traditional virtues. Meanwhile, Youth Center of Putuo District elaborated the pottery class for students in primary and secondary schools, with the purpose of instilling Chinese centuries-old pottery culture in their mind and helping them learn the basic pottery-making process. To celebrate the establishment of the pottery base in Shigatse Shanghai Experimental School, the host specially customized a kiln. The Vice Mayor of Shigatse Zhao Liang opened the kiln, which marked the opening of the base, and the General Secretary of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission Wang Congchun unlocked the door to art. 

Subsequently, after the wonderful Sima Zhuo Dance, the 19th China Shanghai International Arts Festival Campus Tour —— the Arts Program of Transmitting Traditional Culture to Tibet opened. The chorus of Shigatse Shanghai Experimental School expressed their warm welcome to teachers and students from Shanghai with the song Shigatse waits for you.

During the program, 30 excellent pieces of pottery works created by Shanghainese teachers and students were displayed in Shigatse Shanghai Experimental School. The awarded student representatives contended and communicated with Tibetan students on site and donated all the works to the school. 

This arts program of transmitting traditional culture to Tibet was co-hosted by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, China Shanghai International Arts Festival Committee and Tibet Shigatse Education Bureau, and was undertaken by Center for China Shanghai International Arts Festival, Youth Center of Putuo District Shanghai, Shanghai Municipal Kindergarten and Shigatse Shanghai Experimental School. The program aimed to promote the combination of culture, art and education, accelerate the development of arts education for students in Shanghai and Tibet, facilitate the cultural and artistic communicate between them and in the end, benefit more students.
