The exhibition displays works featuring various historical periods by famous Shanghainese artists. The exhibits are mainly consist of oil paintings, Chinese paintings, woodcuts, sculptures, and comic drawngs, installation, and etc. There are artists of different age, whom are skillled with their artistic styles. There will be works with profound influence, and also newly created works to be presented. The exhibition features gates from 'Shikumen' to 'Tian An Men' to artistically symbolize the 96 years of glorious history since the birth of the Chinese Communist Party. A poetry recitation performance of the same theme is another highlight of this exhibition.
